The basic functionality of Ops Manager was developed by a small team over a decade ago as a Microsoft Access application, specifically for a window treatment firm specializing in installing shutters and blinds. This application enabled the firm to manage its business effectively and become an industry leader in the Southwest. Recognizing that Access is not ideal for high-volume, multi-user applications, we are leveraging lessons learned from this application to create a cloud application. This new subscription-based service will utilize Web technologies like email, SMS messaging, and online generation of PDF documents to share this powerful tool with small businesses.

With a robust background encompassing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, and an AZROC Contractor's license, Charles is deeply committed to servant and transformational leadership, strategic planning, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. His consulting work has consistently focused on optimizing internal processes and enhancing operational effectiveness. This expertise, combined with his experience building the highly effective Microsoft Access application that significantly streamlined a window treatment firm's operations, directly informs Ops Manager's evolution into a dynamic, AI-enhanced cloud-based SaaS solution designed to unburden contractor businesses from administrative chaos and significantly improve the quality of life for all stakeholders.
Jim Bates
James Bates, CTO of Ops Manager, is an innovative User Experience Designer and Web applications developer. His extensive career includes a significant Air Force / Space Command foundation, where he gained invaluable experience in managing complex systems and projects, a discipline now applied to simplifying operations for small businesses. Jim's expertise spans responsive design, CSS, JavaScript, and robust back-end development with technologies like ColdFusion and various databases. He has designed and produced intricate online systems, including document management and environmental information systems that significantly reduced manual effort. With a background also encompassing custom distance learning management systems and teaching advanced Web design, Jim's broad technical acumen and deep understanding of user experience are fundamental to Ops Manager's mission of unburdening contractor businesses through a dynamic cloud-based SaaS solution.
